Are we all hyperventilating yet?
Just Me?
ANYHOO….
This weekend, I had the honor to attend Kamala Harris’ last rally here in Atlanta and it was a time.
All that needs to be said is in this photo.
I have debated whether or not I’m going to ignore everything and everyone until Wednesday Morning, or just take a nap and plan to stay up all night Tuesday night.
With Wine…with Tequilla on hand just in case.
Probably the later.
But until then, I’ve got a few things in this email to distract and help us all.
A list of distractions for us all.
This list contains affiliate links. Meaning that if you click on something, I may be able to buy…cute Nutcrackers and other Christmas decorations that I don’t need….
The Latest episode of The Pouring Over Books Podcast is up. It’s called Let Me Distract You: 6 Books and a Rant. I hope it helps. Also, please consider giving me a positive review wherever you listen! Spotify and Apple Podcast
I finished listening to this meta book about an audiobook narrator and the last romance novel she decided to narrate with her male counterpart. Hilarity, and misunderstanding, and a lot of coincidences ensue. It was cute!
I loved this Substack from Christine Koh on an Election Week Healing Plan.
If you are a Sephora member, the Sephora sale is live through 11/11 . I’m just here to tell you that if your birth year starts in “19” you should be using retinol, a Vitamin C serum and A sunscreen. HMMMKAY?
Speaking of makeup, read this article from Vogue about how to put on concealer. Listen..don’t judge me. But this non-make-up girlie needed this. If you are like me, read and enjoy.
If you want a distraction this week, I’m going to highly recommend Martha’ Stewart’s Documentary on Netflix and Megan the Stallion’s on Prime. Martha was…interesting lol. And Meg…I just want to hug her.

I have these leopard-print Mary Jane flats in my cart and I may or may not hit buy depending on my mood this week.
I also have ice cream available. Butter Pecan to be precise because there is this discourse online that only old folks eat it. Don’t folks know the history of Vanilla Ice Cream in the south and how Butter Pecan ice cream came to be????? Plus it’s my Mama’s favorite.
And finally, I know we are already 4 days into the month of November, but I just decided to do a gratitude month where every day I journal what I am thankful for. I love to do this in November because it seems appropriate leading up to Thanksgiving and it’s the month I lost my first baby and then God sent my Rainbow baby Pookah bear the very next year. If you need prompts, check out this post on 30 days of prompt ideas to get you started. And share them because I think no matter how Tuesday goes, we will all need to remember what we are thankful for this year.
Ok, I’m not gonna hold you, plus I have to go run at the gym. But I hope…I just hope.
See you on the other side friends.

Whew, Chile! I think I'm going to stay up all night tomorrow...with an adult beverage, also.
Enjoyed the podcast episode! Absolutely loved the Tia Williams book and added some new ones to my TBR.
