Toni Morrison.
Pouring Over Books Bookclub 2026
I have been debating with myself for two months about the theme of the 2026 Pouring Over Books Bookclub.
I debated a genre theme. I debated popular novels. I debated books related to our current political climate.
But in the back of my mind, I knew I wanted to do one thing:
Read all of Toni Morrison’s fiction books.
Ironically, there are 12.
One is a short story, but STILL. It fits!
I am so happy and with trepidation ( because this won’t be easy friends) to announce that for the 2026 version of the book club, we will be reading all of Toni Morrison’s standalone novels, in order of publication.
So what do you get for $5 a month?
Community of book lovers who love to read, or who are coming back to reading and who love to discuss books from different points of view.
A guide for each book. Because this is Toni Morrison, and I feel like we all deserve to understand all the points she is trying to make. Basically, no reader will be left behind.
There will be a weekly discussion chat that only bookclub members have access to on Substack. A conversation, if you will.
There will be a monthly zoom call discussing the book!
And for Black Friday week/Cyber Monday etc (11/24-12/2), I’m offering 50% off a year-long subscription. So instead of $50 for the year, it’s only $25.

My sister told me on Thanksgiving that I reminded her of Toni Morrison… I said I wanted to read more of her work I never finished. ✨I’ll be joining!
