So it's June
Thank God.
I have never been so happy to see the back of a month as I was to see the back of May this year.
Ya’ll it was trash.
Well, not all of it.
My baby finished his 11th grade year with honors.
I got to see and take a selfie with THE Kennedy Ryan on the last stop of her Score Book Tour.
I got to see beautiful art with my friend.
And I got to see my Mama.
Wait, now that' I’ve pulled up all of these things it seems like the month might have had moments of intense joy mingled with a few overwhelming moments.
Hmm. Perspective right?
That which doesn’t kill us makes us strong right?
RIGHT?
Anyway, now its the lazy hazy days of summer around here and usually I would be happy to relax and regroup and chill. This year is different, but I have prepared myself to be my son and his friend groups uber. They have such active social lives for folks with no jobs and no cars.
But anyway, I’m combining my book email and my regular email today because I didn’t get myself together in time to write yesterday’s email and it’s Podcast day and because why not.
