I picked most of the books this year based on popularity. They were books everyone talked about and were somewhat familiar with. This one I picked because it was one of my favorites. I haven’t read this book in years. Since before my son was born, so I don’t know if it holds up. But I am eager to jump back into one of what I remember as my favorite characters : Misty Fine.
From the Book Description
Misty Fine and Reesy Snowden, friends since second grade, share at least two common goals: having fun and finding Mr. Right. But as their careers rise and fall, and men come and go, they embark on a series of misadventures that take them from Fort Lauderdale to Atlanta to New York-from male troubles and exotic dancing to office conspiracies and, ultimately, the promise of real love.
Note: this is the description on every website. And since I lost my actual book jacket for this book long ago, I can’t give you a better description. Except that I vaguely remember laughing a lot. Especially during a random chapter about ..wax strips…
But will it hold up? We shall see.
